Thapa Peak Climbing (6012m)

Thapa Peak, also known as Dhampus Peak, is located in the Dhaulagiri region. It offers a mix of snow, ice and rock, and provides spectacular views. These include the magnificent pyramid of snow and ice Dhaulagiri I (8163m), Puth Hiunchuli (7146m), Tilicho Peak (7134m), the awesome Nilgiri (6940m), Tukche Peak (6920m), Mukut Himal (6639m), Sita Chuchura (6611m), Hongde Peak (6556m), Thorong Peak (6484m), Yakawa Kan (6482m), Tsarste (6347m) and Tangu Peak (6197m).

Let us not forget it neighbors one of the most isolated valleys in Nepal, The Hidden Valley - from where a number of exploratory treks can be made before or after climbing Thapa Peak. Plus,it borders the world’s deepest valley!

The climbing is not very technical, being ideal for those with experience of trekking and camping at altitude, and/or those with some experience in glacier crossings or climbing.
