Sikles Trek

Sikles Trek is a great introduction to Nepal, offering a wide variance of nature, culture and a specter of views that will take you aback. The village is located to the northeast of Pokhara, and is the second largest Gurung village in Nepal. The main occupation is agriculture and animal husbandry, and the Gurungs are famous for their bravery as Gurkha soldiers. They have their own dialect/language and are very musical - so be prepared for some cultural events.

Snow Dragons offer a series of excursions to Sikles, which we individually tailor to suite your time, experience and budget. You can have a one day drive in, lunch and drive out, or (better) a two day drive in/drive out, with a one night stay. Or a five to six day excursion, with either a walk-in or drive-in approach, to then walk to Tara Hilltop, camp there, for a spectacular sun set/sun rise experience.

Note: Trekking in Sikles starts and concludes in the lake city of Pokhara, which you reach by an 8 hours bus ride, or a 25 minute flight from Kathmandu.

Spring is great, with an array of flowers and Rhododendrons, spanning from March to May, with Autumn offering the more stable weather, September to early December.

Let us know your time frame, your party make up, and the sort of trek you wish to do - and we will come with a suggested itinerary and price indication.
