Langtang Region lies north of capital city, Kathmandu and straddles its border to Tibet. It is the closest and easily accessible yet spectacular trekking route in Nepal. The Langtang region houses numbers of lofty peaks – of which Langtang Lirung (7,246m) is the highest one!
The region falls inside Langtang National Park covering an area of 1,710km square in central Himalaya region encompassing 26 village communities. Gosainkunda Lake at 4,300m is the high altitude lake of the region. It is one of the sacred religious sites for Hindu and Buddhist.

The region which was badly effected by devastating earthquake in April 2015, has been revived. About 25 teahouses were brushed away by Landslide claiming 300 life in Langtang village. Teahouse were rebuilt just north of Lagntang Village and trail are set up – it is safe more than ever.
It only takes seven hours from the capital to reach the gateway to Langtang National Park - Syabrubeshi. From here, you can choose various treks, from five to twenty-five days, all depending on your time, budget and interests.
